Icon Sizes

If icons aren't sized correctly, they will display incorrectly or be cropped. For the most part, icons conform to a few standard sizes; this page lists them by Category/Folder along with any exceptions.

The NightLight Desktop app will show an error for any incorrectly sized icons when uploading and can be used to verify all icons are correctly sized.

Icons don't usually use the full image area

While the image files themselves should be sized as follows, the icon itself will almost always use only a section of it.

If you exceed the boundaries of the templates, icons will likely overflow their containers and may overlap or otherwise appear in unintended ways.

Exceptions

There are a few exceptions to the standard sizes (for some reason). They are such small differences that I doubt they'd be noticeable, but the app will warn about them.
